Welcome back!

The new academic year at SVA starts today. A lot will be happening in the VCS program over the next week or so, including the occupation of our new/temporary space on the 7th floor of 136 West 21st Street. The new senior class will receive its studio assignments for the year this Thursday, and I’ll try to get some photos to post on the blog soon.

Also coming right up is the semester’s first VCS-sponsored evening event, an artist’s talk by painter Alexi Worth on September14th, one week from today. The talk will take place at 6:30 p.m. in room 101C of 133/141 West 21 Street, and it is free and open to the public. As always, I’ll post a reminder just before the talk, and a recap soon after.

I’m looking forward to running into old acquaintances and making new ones as the semester gets underway. See you around!
