VCS alumnus Ryan Brady at Miami Project this week

Miami Project

A few days ago, I received the following message from class of 2012 VCS alumnus Ryan Brady:

I would like to share with you the exciting news that several of my recent ceramic/wooden sculptures will be showing at the inaugural Miami Project, a satellite fair of Art Basel: Miami Beach 2012.

The inaugural Miami Project Art Fair will feature 65 leading galleries from around the globe in a 65,000 square foot exhibition space centrally located in Miami’s Midtown adjacent to the City’s Wynwood Art District from December 4th-9th.

Ryan is the most recent member of a growing group of VCS students, alumni, and faculty to have works exhibited in Miami during the annual art fairs (you can read about a few more of them in this post from last year). His work will be on display in the SVA booth at Miami Projects, along with art by eight other recent SVA graduates. You can read more about them and SVA’s presence at several other fairs over the years on the SVA Close Up blog. A few of Ryan’s earlier works from last year’s senior open studios can be seen about halfway down this page.

Congratulations, Ryan! Enjoy the fairs; we wish we could be there this week to say hi in person.
