Last Thursday, VCS instructor Amy Wilson’s current solo show at BravinLee programs was featured in Art in America’s online column “The Lookout: A Weekly Guide to Shows You Won’t Want to Miss.” The screenshot above includes the blurb on the Art in America website; you can read the column by clicking on the image or this link.

The show also received a great writeup in the February 2012 show roundup on Two Coats of Paint.

For an installation view of “We Dream of Starfish and Geodesic Domes” and a closer look at a few of the works on display, check out the show’s Facebook photo album. If you haven’t already played It’s like this every day (an interactive Flash animation created to accompany the show), you can find it here.

Finally, there’s also an exhibition catalog available through blurb.com. The catalog includes an essay about Amy’s work by artist and writer Coco Papy, and was designed by VCS student and BravinLee intern Berny Tan. I’ve shown a couple page spreads from the catalog below; for a preview of the entire book, visit the listing on the blurb website.
