Printmaking as a medium has been around for centuries; today there is a thriving community of modern day printers living right upstairs. It is is an incredibly versatile medium, attracting all kinds of artists, designers, and makers. There is a magical quality to the process of printmaking hand-mixing rich pigment, and pushing it through a screen, or rolling it out with a brayer Working directly with the inks creates a stunning vibrancy of line and color. This show is a celebration of the print medium, featuring works in a variety of techniques, from silkscreen to monoprint, etching and woodcut.
