This Sunday – VCS alumni Julia Santoli and Jamie Kelly in the 25th Annual Subterranean Poetry Festival at The Widow Jane Mine in Rosedale
This Sunday (September 20th), 2015 VCS alumna Julia Santoli and 2012 alumnus Jamie Kelly will take part in the 25th Annual Subterranean Poetry Festival at the Widow Jane Mine in Rosedale, New York. Here’s more about the event from Julia:
Bethany Ides (who teaches in SVA Humanities) is organizing this year’s 25th Annual Subterranean Poetry Festival “Between Night Briefly” in The Widow Jane Mine, Rosendale NY. It is a benefit for the Century House Historical Society. Jamie Kelly & myself will be two VCS alumni participating in it. It’s about 2 hours upstate so would be nice for anyone who has a car. Oh, and it is inside a cave!
Here’s more information about the festival from its Facebook page:
Between Night Briefly is a festival of bodies + space, text + voice, rupture // reorientation. Writers, performers & pranksters interpret the Widow Jane Mine Cave’s staggering contours w/ its haunting lake and glimmering shafts of light.
