The VCS student and faculty luncheon

On Tuesday, November 16th, the VCS department held a luncheon for the program’s faculty and students. The event was held in the central area of the VCS studio floor, and gave people a chance to get to know one another a little better outside the confines of the classroom. Shannon Broder was there to take photos, some of which I’ve included here.

While other branches of SVA such as the Honors Program have held similar gatherings for a while, this was the first time that one was organized for VCS. The afternoon went really well, and people enjoyed themselves a lot. Plans are already underway for a follow-up.

VCS Department Chair Tom Huhn welcomes everyone to the luncheon (he's the one in the center holding a handful of cards). Slightly to the right (in the red-orange scarf) is Holly Warren, Chair Assistant for the VCS program.

Some of the attendees. This area can double as a classroom; I'm looking forward to teaching the senior essay workshop there next semester.

The same view from a slightly different angle.

My favorite image. I love the banner.
