For the last few weeks, SVA MFA Fine Arts student Susan Luss has been creating a series of ephemeral installations on the sidewalk just outside the VCS Gallery window, made with small objects that she found on walks around Greenpoint. Luss installed the first sidewalk piece during George Rue’s recent exhibition in the gallery, and has continued to create new installations intermittently over the subsequent weeks.

The image above from the VCS Instagram account shows a detail from one of the early installations. The following links lead to shots of other installations in the series posted on Luss’ Instagram account.
