VCS alumna Julia Garcia contacted me a few days ago with the news that she and fellow alumnus Owen Karrel have been selected to exhibit their paintings in the 2014 juried exhibition at Blue Mountain Gallery in Chelsesa. The show will run from December 23, 2014 to January 24, 2015, with an opening reception scheduled to take place early in the new year on Thursday, January 8th, from 5 to 8 pm. Here’s more about the show, quoted from the gallery’s press release:
Blue Mountain Gallery is pleased to announce our second juried exhibition. Featuring the work of thirty artists representing a range of styles and a truly national reach, this year’s work was selected from over a thousand entries by painter John Dubrow who will attend the opening reception on January 8. Blue Mountain was privileged to have him serve as juror. Represented by Lori Bookstein Fine Art since 2005, and with a substantial record as a figurative painter prior to that association, Dubrow was also honored recently with a retrospective at the Demuth Museum in Lancaster, PA.
