Getting back on track

SVA was closed last week due to the power outages in lower Manhattan caused by Hurricane Sandy. We’re back in operation now, getting back to our usual routine and trying to pick up from where we left off the week before last.

Last week’s events were all cancelled at the school, including the VCS-sponsored lectures by Lydia Dona and Richard Shiff and the opening reception for the exhibition “Declassified: A Portrait of the Veteran as a Young Artist.” I will post updates on the lectures if/when they are rescheduled.

The closing date for “Declassified” has been moved back a week to Saturday, November 17th, and the reception has been rescheduled for this Wednesday, November 7th from 6 to 8 p.m. The exhibition is located the 6th floor at 214 East 23rd Street in New York City, between 2nd and 3rd Avenues. For more information about it, check out this post.

It’s good to be back.
