Two video art pieces by VCS student Elektra KB were recently selected for inclusion in this weekend’s Dazed Live festival, a day-long series of art exhibitions, musical performances, lectures, and film screenings held throughout east London, organized by British style magazine Dazed & Confused. The videos to be screened are Revenge of the Piece of Meat and The Awakening; the latter was created as part of Introduction to Video Art II, the second half of a two-semester course taught by SVA and VCS faculty member Joseph Tekippe.

Both videos will be included in a short film festival curated by Action! International Film Club and presented by I Want You magazine and the graphic and interactive design firm Dumb Eyes. The screening will take place at 5:30 p.m. at 18 Hewitt Street, a recently opened warehouse venue that hosts a variety of art exhibitions and live performances.
