Due to SVA’s cancellation of all school events from today through March 20th, the Flatiorn Project Space exhibition cloud 9 and Which Way Forward? The Inaugural SVA Politics Debate have been postponed. We will post an update about the rescheduling of both events when more information becomes available.

The Visual & Critical Studies department will be closed Wednesday through Sunday this week. We will revisit the status of facility availability on Monday. Until then, the VCS Library and Digital Lab will remain closed.

Here is SVA’s announcement concerning the campus-wide cancellation of classes and events this week, and the school’s move to online classes next week:

Classes Suspended This Week

In response to the rapidly developing coronavirus situation, beginning today, SVA will suspend classes for the rest of the week. Campus buildings will remain open, with the exception of public spaces including the SVA Welcome Center, Student Center, libraries and galleries.

The Visual & Critical Studies department will be closed Wednesday through Sunday this week. We will revisit the status of facility availability on Monday. Until then, the VCS Library and Digital Lab will remain closed.

Classes will resume next Monday, March 16, and be held online through SVA’s learning management system, Canvas, and other platforms. Toward the end of next week, an assessment will be made about resuming in-person activities.
