A new interview with VCS faulty member Amy Wilson was just published early last week in the online Italian/English newspaper La Voce di New York. In the interview, Wilson discusses a wide range of topics, including: her background and education; the the different forms of artmaking she’s pursued during her career; a handful of collaborative projects she’s been involved with in recent years, including a large-scale public art display with the Downtown Alliance and the Disappearing City quilt-making program she led at two Manhattan senior centers in conjunction with MoreArt; and her newest body of work, which combines traditional lacemaking with digital embroidery.
