QUÉ TAN LEJOS
How Far Am I
Poet Jose Rico returns to his hometown Ciudad Juárez in Mexico.
He visits old friends, family members and landscapes of this border town that was ravaged by the drug war.
If a poet is always “the suspicious third-party,” then Jose, with cameras and old poems,
re-stages the dubious ways in which horror and love, past and future, home and weapon, vision and language, image and sound – converge, parallel, or separate.
