A call for help with the Hurricane Sandy relief effort

Here’s a message from VCS instructor Amy Wilson about helping out with the Hurricane Sandy relief effort:

Hey everybody!

We’re collecting supplies for Hurricane Sandy relief in the VCS library (133 West 21st Street, 4th floor, near the copy machine).

Even when the power comes on for those still without, there’s a lot to be done in terms of rebuilding the neighborhoods affected. The cleanup effort is massive, and Occupy Sandy needs supplies.

We are collecting the following items:
* flashlights
* aaa batteries
* gallon ziplock bags
* hydrogen peroxide
* white vinegar
* any sort of baby/toddler food and formula
* duct and scotch tape
* toiletries (deodorants, tampons, soap, etc)

We’re accepting donations from today, 11/14, until Wednesday, 11/21 at 2pm.

I hope you’ll consider pitching in! Spread the word – alums, other majors, etc. We need all the supplies we can get.

xoxo – Amy
