A brief tour of Jonathas Nazareth’s website

JN website

VCS alumnus Jonathas Nazareth recently sent out an announcement of his new website, which features portfolios of his work in both video and fine art. In a brief bio, Jon provides the following information about himself:

From Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, but have spent most of my life in NY.

I am a painter and video artist. If I am not working on a commercial shoot or edit, I am in my studio painting and drawing.

I am profoundly inspired by Gustav Klimt, Egon Schiele, Mary Frank, Henri Matisse, William Kentridge, among many others.

Here are a few selections from the site, along with excerpts from Jon’s comments.

Commercial Reel 2015

This is my reel with some of my favorite projects from the previous years. These were projects I worked on in different capacities: producer, editor, assistant editor, and After Effects. The song is an oldie but a goodie by Holy Ghost.

Mary Frank Animation Samples

This is a sample animation I’ve been working on with artist Mary Frank. More to come. These are 3 different still images that I animated in after effects.
