On Monday, Artsy published the article “4 Tips for Writing a Good Artist Statement,” which includes advice from Jennifer Liese, director of the Rhode Island School of Design’s Center for Arts & Language, and writer and critic Jeff Edwards. Jeff teaches three classes in the VCS program, including the second semester of the foundation course Reading Thinking, Writing; a third-year elective titled Art Writing; and the senior Essay Workshop, in which the students write their final thesis papers.
