VCS alumnae Katie Armstrong (2010) and Kylie Lefkowitz (2014) have work in the group exhibition Jetzt Druck Machen! at Museum Angerlehner in Thalheim bei Wels, Austria, which opened last week and will be on display through September 29th. You can find information about the show (in German) and a list of participating artists at the museum’s website and the Jetzt Druck Machen! Facebook page. Here’s a rough translation from the former, via Google Translate:

In the galleries of the upper floor, the versatile potential of the printed graphics will be presented in an extensive exhibition.

The centerpiece of the exhibition is the Atelier for Etching in Leipzig, where Vlado and Maria Ondrej collaborated in eleven graphic portfolios with 64 artists from 14 countries. With the highest perfection and lustful curiosity is also experimented with rare printing techniques.

The impressive composition of the editions is accompanied by selected original works on canvas by internationally renowned artists Rosa Loy, Vlado Ondrej, Christoph Ruckhäberle, Yehudit Sasportas, Titus Schade, Kristina Schuldt and Matthias Weischer.

Katie and Kylie also both participated in VCS-sponsored studio residencies at the Liepzig International Art Program (LIAP), with which we’ve been working since 2010. The LIAP and Museum Angerlehner co-organized last year’s exhibition Etching As a Language – Leipzig Artists Exhibiting in NYC at the New York Academy of Art, which also featured works from Kylie and Katie.
